Organization
Our client offers waterborne technologies such as acrylic emulsions and polyurethane dispersions for application in water-based coatings and water-based printing inks.
Function
In this position, you lead cross-functional teams that develop and implement sourcing strategies for product categories used within this part of the company and possibly in other business groups. The aim is to deliver Security of Supply and maximized total cost of ownership savings for your categories. Supplier relationship management is one of the key drivers in this function.
Next to the above, you will represent Purchasing in one of the four Business Teams from our client. In this role, you are expected to come up with suggestions for further value contribution by using maximum creativity. As you are part of the team you are expected to support and challenge the team in getting to achieve its overall objectives, even if this touches fields outside of the purchasing area.
You report to the European Purchasing manager and you work with other Buyers, with Contract managers, Purchasing assistants and Supply Coordinators. You work in close collaboration with your Business Team, other Internal Customers, External Suppliers and the clients Purchasing community.
Requirements
You are an experienced Buyer preferably in an international context. You have a Bachelor/Master degree in Purchasing, Business or Chemistry/Chemical Engineering and you show a smart balance between thinking and doing. You are full of initiative, inspire your environment, and you don't let go until the job is done. You are an excellent negotiator and you are experienced in the execution of contracting processes also related to internal stakeholders. You build relationships naturally, and express your ideas with ease and flair in English, on paper and face-to-face.
